Shaun O'Neil has been working in King County's Wastewater Treatment Division since 1999 and is currently a Senior GIS Analyst. He has worked on asset management issues, conveyance planning, and environmental risk assessment for King County wastewater infrastructure during that time. Recently, Shaun developed a planning level assessment of the vulnerability of major wastewater assets to the effects of sea level rise. Phase 1, risk of onsite flooding, was completed in 2008 with an accompanying GIS tool developed to replicate the approach for other organizations. Phase 2, a hydraulic assessment, will begin this year. Shaun holds bachelor degrees in Geography and History from the University of Washington.
